I LOVE the Psalms! The poetry, music and reminders of God’s love have comforted and inspired me through this journey called life. This book is the second book in my “Psalms in the Key of my Life” series; a collection of reflections on the biblical Psalms. This project began as a journal. As I read through the book of Psalms, I found myself unable to relate to some of them. My goal was to personalize all 150 Psalms. As I began to share my reflections with others, I was encouraged to publish them, in the hopes that others too would be inspired. The first book titled, “Psalms in the Key of my Life” covers Psalms 1-50. This book covers Psalms 51-100.

Carol Shelton Moye sort of reworks the psalms into more current themes and settings. She uses the overall idea of the psalm to share how she was able to apply it to her life. For example, she has several that are regarding civil rights type issues. She states that she isn’t trying to write a Bible translation, but rather to “write responses to each of the Psalms, using poetry and song.” As with the Psalms, themselves, I related to some of the chapters in the book more than others, but liked the idea very much.”
