This is a science fiction short novel based on a short story I wrote this year (2012). Clare, a Mxburian farmer from the planet Mxbury, survives a massive earthquake that decimates the animal population. He proposes to find more animals off planet. Research determines that Earth has an abundance of animals, many unloved and not cared for. Clare decides to seek some of those animals out and bring them home to Mxbury. The Ship in the Cloud tells his story.
